Authorization to Immunize

The Competency-Mapped Accreditation of Immunization and Injections programs maps provider programs to the Supplemental Competencies on Injection for Canadian Pharmacists approved by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities. Pharmacists who successfully complete a competency-mapped accredited program may apply to the provincial regulatory authority for authorization to administer immunizations and injections.

The certificate in immunization issued by a program provider of a competency-mapped accredited program is recognized by all provinces currently authorizing pharmacists.
