New Appointment to the Board of Directors

 

June 6, 2023, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – The Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP) appointed a new Director at its recent meeting. Effective May 26, 2023, Anne Marentette was appointed to the Board of Directors of CCCEP as the representative for the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists.  

Anne Marentette is the Pharmacy Practice and Quality Assurance Manager for the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University. Prior to joining the College in 2018, Anne worked in the pharmaceutical industry and as a practicing community pharmacist. She replaces Sue Sampson, who had served on the Board of Directors since 2015.

“I am excited to join this incredibly dedicated Board of Directors and look forward to learning from and working with them” said Ms. Marentette, noting that “It is an especially exciting time to join this Board as we embark upon the development of a new strategic plan to guide CCCEP in the coming years”.

CCCEP’s President Sheena Deane welcomed Anne to the Board, noting that “We look forward to her insight and perspectives and are confident that her past experience and background will contribute positively to the Board’s work”.  She also thanked Sue Sampson for her exemplary contribution and dedication to CCCEP over the past eight years.
